22nd – 26th February 2021

Will to Give Week is our week to shine a light on the importance of charitable gifts in Wills to our amazing charity members.

We have over 60 charity members, and you’ll know them all.

They are some of our most loved and cherished charities – they include local, national, and international charities. Charities that provide services both locally and across the world, working with animals, in arts & culture, conservation & the environment, education, community development, disability, and health.

But what they all have in common is the need for people like us to leave them a charitable gift in our Will to help them continue their important work.

Gifts in Wills often make up one third of voluntary income for charities.

We all have a cause or charity that means something special to us.

Perhaps you live by the coast and admire the work of the RNLI, maybe your favourite walk is maintained by the National Trust. You might have had a family member with a health condition that has been supported by Marie Curie, NI Hospice, the Cancer Centre, Macmillan nurses, the Foyle or Southern Area Hospice .

You maybe volunteer at Assisi, Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary or the UPSCA or you might even have adopted your furry friend from them. You or someone close to could have received advice or support from one of our health related charities. Or myybe you admire the work of one of our international charities like Plan International UK.

We have too many members to give them all a shout out but you can see all the charities Will to Give represent here. Is your favourite amongst them?

During our special Will to Give Week, we’ll be hosting events talking about the difference gifts in Wills makes to our member charities, we’ll chat about how you go about making a Will either using our Free online service Bequeathed or with a local solicitor.

We will be holding sessions on making your Will if you or your familiy member has a dementia diagnosis or if someone in your family has a learning difficulty.

We’ll also be chatting about how to have ‘difficult conversations’ with those you love the most.

So make sure to join us for this action-packed week of everything Will-writing together with some inspirational stories from our member charities and the people who leave them gifts in Wills.
