Rachel Leitch, Will to Give Secretary

And Marketing Executive, Community Foundation for Northern Ireland

Rachel has been involved in fundraising in Northern Ireland for over 3 years.  Previously working in Marketing and Development for the Ulster Orchestra, she began her current post with the Community Foundation a little over a year ago and during that time there has been a large shift towards fund development in the organisation.  It was as a representative of the Community Foundation that she first came involved with Will to Give.

“I was appointed Secretary of Will to Give just before Christmas and am delighted to be part of an organisation that represents so many charities across Northern Ireland.  To me legacy giving is a no brainer and something which everyone should think about doing.

Giving even 1% of your estate to charity in your will can make such a difference and has no effect on you whilst you live.

I would encourage everyone out there to make a Will today; it is such an easy thing to do yet something that always gets pushed further down the list of priorities.

At the Community Foundation we help people set up funds to continue their legacy, we work with you to define the criteria of the fund so that the projects and communities that matter to you can be supported in perpetuity.”
