What we do

Ulster Wildlife is a local nature conservation charity that champions native wildlife. We work with local people to secure space for nature in our countryside, towns, coastlines and seas.

We work tirelessly to deliver practical nature conservation projects on land and sea, to educate the next generation of wildlife supporters and to maintain a network of precious nature reserves. Our 18 nature reserves provide a home for a huge range of threatened animals, birds and plants such as red squirrels, barn owls and wild orchids, in an increasingly hostile wider landscape.  Over the last 100 years we have already lost so many wildlife-rich woods, wetlands, valuable peatland and wildflower meadows. Without champions to stand up for nature it is most probable that much more could be lost.

Nature doesn’t have its own voice but Ulster Wildlife is here to ensure that it is heard by our local decision makers.

Ulster Wildlife stands up for nature and for the precious wild places and wildlife we all love.

Gifts in Wills

Our work to ensure that nature matters here in Northern Ireland is not possible without the generosity of our donors and supporters. Over the years many of our members and supporters have remembered us in their Will.

Our local wildlife is a gift that should be passed on to future generations. Once family and friends have been cared for, you can make Northern Ireland’s wildlife your legacy by leaving Ulster Wildlife a gift in your Will.

Gifts in Wills have already helped us:

  • Provide vital protection for local wildlife, landscapes and endangered species such as the barn owl
  • Manage our network of nature reserves across Northern Ireland
  • Run events to educated and inspire schools, communities and individuals to care for nature
  • Engage and support volunteers in helping to conserve local landscapes

Adding a gift to charity in your Will offers each of us the opportunity to contribute to good causes in a way that may not be possible during our lifetime.

Some gifts in Wills are relatively modest, some substantial – every one helps.
