What we do
Leukaemia & Lymphoma is the only charity in Northern Ireland solely dedicated to funding research into blood cancers such as leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.
Every year we stop more people dying of blood cancer and our researchers are even working to stop people developing blood cancer in the first place. We improve the lives of patients with blood cancer because we believe everyone should be able to live their life to the full.
When our charity began in 1964, childhood leukaemia was a virtual death sentence. Now 9 out of 10 children with the most common form of this blood cancer survive.
We need your support to continue our vital research into better diagnosis, treatments and cures for blood cancers affecting patients of all ages.
Gifts in Wills
Every day in Northern Ireland, three people are diagnosed with a blood cancer. These cancers are the most common cause of cancer death in the under 35s but can affect anyone at any age.
We don’t receive any government funding and gifts in Wills currently make up approimately one third of our income each year. All the money we raise is spent in Northern Ireland and we simply wouldn’t be able to carry out much of our ground-breaking research without the generosity of people who include us in their Wills.
