What we do

The Integrated Education Fund financially supports and campaigns for more integrated education in response to demand from parents, schools and local communities.

As an independent charity, we rely exclusively on fundraising to carry out our work. The IEF is here to help but this depends on your support as we receive no government funding.

The integrated school provides a learning environment where children and young people from Catholic and Protestant backgrounds, as well as those of other faiths and none, can learn with, from and about each other.

Without change the vast majority of children will continue to be educated separately according to their religious or community background. The cost of inaction will mean another generation growing up with limited contact with one another.

Gifts in Wills

Imagine a Northern Ireland where children, irrespective of their religious or cultural background, can grow up together, sit side by side in the same classroom and play in the same playground. A Northern Ireland where the parents of those children meet at the same school gate, sit on the same PTA, attend the same religious and cultural celebrations with all the children of the school.

We appeal to you to go that extra mile and – once you have made provision for those close to you – consider leaving a legacy to the Integrated Education Fund, to enable us to create a better future for the children of Northern Ireland.
