What we do
Hope365’s focus is on rescuing, empowering and showing God’s love to Street Kids in Ethiopia.
Some are orphans, others are there as the result of trafficking, dysfunctional families or extreme poverty.
Our Assessment Centre has a team of specialist support staff. These professionals try to ascertain the reasons for the child being on the streets and in time, we try where possible, to reunite them with their families. Once reunited we strive to offer additional support by way of our Child Sponsorship scheme, provision of free education and micro finance loans to help ensure sustainable change.
For orphaned children we offer a new home in one of our Group Homes. These are family styled homes with a live-in house mum.
Our Hope365 Academy is a school specifically for former Street Kids and other boys and girls from the poorest families in the region. Here up to 400 pupils receive not only a great education but also two nutritious meals per day.
Gifts in Wills
Every child needs a home and a gift in your will could contribute to providing a Group Home for orphaned Street Kids. What a wonderful legacy to know that young vulnerable children could grow up in a secure and loving environment in one of our Group Homes.
Or perhaps you would like your gift to go to the front line of the rescue for Street Kids. Our Assessment Centre is where the Street Kids first arrive and where our staff strive to help them in the best possible way specifically for each individual child. The children stay usually for two to three months there while we get to understand their issues. The Assessment Centre is a place where they can start to regain their childhood and start to fulfil their God given potential.
One other option for those particularly interested in education, and especially for the education of girls, would be to leave a legacy of education by helping to fund the Hope365 Academy. This is our school, which as well as educating Street Kids (who are almost exclusively boys), also provides educational opportunities for the poorest girls in the region. Education really does offer an escape from the poverty spiral in Ethiopia.
Whichever choice you make be assured your gift to Hope365 will make a difference for eternity.
