Calling all home heroes!
UK Charities need YOUR help. Join the nation and take on the 2.6 challenge by fundraising in your charity’s name.
It’s taking place on the 26 April 2020 at 9:00 AM.
The #TwoPointSixChallenge is your chance to be a Home Hero for your favourite charity and raise funds from your very own living room, bedroom, balcony, garden or yard.
The coronavirus crisis has had a catastrophic effect on the charity sector as a whole.
Fundraising events across Northern Ireland have been cancelled or postponed resulting in millions of lost income to our local charities.
So the organisers of the UK’s biggest mass participation events have set up the 2.6 Challenge to give everyone the opportunity to help their favourite charities through this crisis.
Charities are already reporting an increased demand on their services despite the reduced funding and this is expected to continue long into the future to help ease the pressure on the NHS and to aid recovery after the coronavirus pandemic.
It’s easy to get involved!
- Decide on your 2.6 Challenge – the more creative the better.
There are no set activities – but please follow government guidelines regarding being outside during this time.
