Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke is your local charity dedicated to the prevention of chest, heart and stroke illnesses and the care of people whose lives have been turned upside down by them.
NICHS undertakes work that has an immediate impact on our community. We offer crucial practical and emotional help at what can be a very difficult and distressing time. We work with each individual to find the best way of coping with their illness through a tailored programme of support. We also offer practical assistance in the form of family support, self help and activity groups. Alongside this, we undertake health promotion activity at our schools and health checks at our local businesses. NICHS is also at the forefront of medical research, funding activity that is of the highest international standard.

As a charity NICHS is completely reliant on the generosity of our supporters. Gifts in wills are particularly important when it comes to funding research to identify the cause, to develop treatments and ultimately prevent debilitating chest, heart & stroke illnesses.
