Meet Amy.
Amy is one of the team at Crown Jesus Ministries and her role is Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Chaplain.
Every child is cherished and valued by Jesus. Responding to a desire to ensure that no child should be excluded from hearing the Gospel, Amy has developed a range of programmes which creatively and appropriately share the good news of Jesus with children that have learning difficulties and disabilities. Each lesson contains elements of Makaton, songs, craft and Bible teaching.
‘It’s been a busy but very exciting few months packed with taking bookings, training Academy students and planning and delivering some new programmes designed for this school year! Currently, we plan to deliver 39 sessions in 10 local schools, sharing Jesus’ love and message of hope in ways that have been adapted to suit the additional needs of children.
We are thankful for the opportunities God has given us so far this year and for the response and encouragement from teachers on our programmes. It has been such a joy to see children engaging and enjoying actively getting involved in the assemblies and RE lessons. Through use of pom-poms, dancing, ribbons, music, maracas, Makaton and so much more, we have seen God speaking and revealing himself to children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities!’
Amy is just one of the creative and talented team at Crown Jesus Ministries who works in primary and post primary schools, delivering assemblies, after school clubs, taking RE lessons and SU groups, sharing the gospel in a creative and relevant way with thousands of children and young people each year.
Through leaving a gift in your Will to Crown Jesus Ministries, you will be partnering with us on the mission of God, ensuring that children and young people continue to hear of the love of Jesus.
