What we do

Christian Aid Ireland is an international aid and development agency of the Protestant Churches of Great Britain and Ireland. We are determined to end poverty and injustice worldwide with the help of our supporters and partners. As part of the Christian Aid family, we work across 40 countries to support poor and marginalised people, whatever their beliefs, sexuality, gender or ethnicity, to lift themselves out of poverty.

As a Christian organisation, we believe every one of us deserves respect, care, and the opportunity to live a life of peace, dignity and worth. In a world with such wealth as ours, no one should go without food, shelter, security or any of the other basics we all need. Christian Aid Ireland works for and with people of all faiths and none, as well as with churches and other organisations, to promote sustainable development, strive for social justice and pursue our vision of a world without poverty. We do this by tackling both the causes and the symptoms of poverty so that everyone can achieve equality, dignity and freedom.

Gifts in Wills

A gift in your Will to Christian Aid is so much more than a sum of money.  Every gift for our work helps us to tackle the root causes of poverty as well as its effects. Poverty is an outrage against humanity. It robs people of dignity, freedom and hope, of power over their own lives. Our supporters know that their generosity helps people around the world not only to work their way out of poverty, but also to create a legacy of hope for their children and grandchildren.

Your Will can be a final expression of everything that matters to you in your life, reflecting your priorities and passions. Once loved ones have been provided for, a charitable legacy, even if just a small share of your estate, is a wonderful opportunity to provide hope and practical help to families and communities who live in poverty.  Your gift can change lives for generations to come.

If you would like to change the future, a gift in your Will to Christian Aid will be a statement that you want to give the gift of hope to others – today and tomorrow.

You can write your Will for free with Will to Give and Bequeathed and leave a gift to Christian Aid Ireland.
