Will to Give would like to welcome on board our newest volunteer, Valerie Clarke. Thank you Valerie for your time, skills and expertise and for being a fantastic gifts in Wills advocate!
Valerie explains why she chose to get involved with our work.
“I first came to know about Will to Give through my voluntary role as Legacy Champion with Save the Children. I attended Will to Give’s monthly meetings on behalf of Save the Children and reported back to the charity.
As my role with Save the Children came to a close, Will to Give asked me if I would consider volunteering directly for them and I was more than happy to as I had witnessed first-hand the great work the charity do to promote charitable gifts in Wills. I have made a gift to charity in my Will so it seemed a natural fit.
I very much look forward to working with the Will to Give Team and helping them at events and speaking about gifts in Wills. I am very impressed with Will to Give, the commitment from a wide range of charities and dedication and professionalism from a great bunch of people.”
Having recently retired from full time employment, Valerie is a qualified accountant, has a Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and a wealth of experience as a senior manager in the Health Service. Valerie also holds a number of non-executive roles in the voluntary sector, and now fortunately for Will to Give has agreed to use her skills and experience as a volunteer.
She also enjoys travelling, flower arranging and modelling the latest fashions.
